Zoe's Story

Zoe was sent to the shelter with her mom and siblings when she was 2 months old.  Separated from her mom, and seeing her siblings disappeared one by one, she did not know what fate lied ahead of her.  She barely escaped the fate of being put down, and when volunteers stepped into the puppy area, while other puppies got all excited, Zoe laid quietly in the cage with a hopeless look in her eye, as if she was already resigned to whatever fate would dish out.  She did not move when a volunteer opened the cage, but remained meekly in the embrace of the volunteer, who whispered to her: “Zoe, let’s go home, have faith in the future, we will help you find a loving home...”

Get to Know Zoe

Zoe is a kind, gentle soul who is a little shy, but considerate and lovable. When strangers try to pet her, she will accept their and look at them curiously. With people that she knows, she will follow them around. When you sit down, she likes to lie down with you and put her front paw on you , as if to tell you that you are her favorite person. She is still young but very smart and trainable. If she feels that someone she loves is being threatened, she will bark to alert her owner, but if the owner wants her to stop, she will immediately cease barking. She is a highly obedient dog.

Zoe likes to go out and play, but can also stay quietly by her owner’s side.  She is curious, loves to play with other dogs, and gets along well with cats. She is mild mannered, obedient, and although she really likes to eat, she won’t touch any food unless she is given permission.  With such a gentle dog, anyone would fall in love with her once you get to know her.
