OSCAR

Formosan Mountain Dog + Collie mix | neutered male | 10 months old | 49 lbs

My Story

Stray puppy Oscar lived by a military base in Taiwan with his siblings. There was some soldiers who liked dogs that fed him and also gave him affection. There were also some soldiers who disliked dogs and would kick them to shoo them away. Life as a stray puppy is not easy and unpredictable. A few months ago, some people in the area included the local dog feeder noticed that Oscar had not shown up for several days. Oscar was later found hiding in a ditch and had an injury from a car accident. Around this time, the new leader of the military base was known to think dogs were a nuisance and ordered that the dogs were taken away to be abandoned in far away mountains. The local dog feeder appealed for someone to help Oscar over the internet. Our rescuer Judy, went and retrieved Oscar and his siblings. Oscar was treated at the vet hospital for his car accident injuries and had surgery. Oscar would do great in a home that can let him slowly recover and take him to swim therapy where he can build more muscle strength.
