Lunie

Formosan Mountain Dog mix | spayed female | 1.5 years old | 48 lbs

My Story

Someone abandoned Lunie at a landfill as a puppy, there was only garbage around and no food or water. She suffered from very bad skin infections. People that approached the area saw her as a nuisance and tried to drive her away by kicking her and striking her with sticks.

A volunteer found out about Lunie and decided to rescue her from her unfortunate situation. She brought her to the vet hospital to be treated and placed her in a foster home.

My Personality

Due to her past of being beaten and chased away by people, she is a little fearful upon meeting strangers. Lunie desires affection but is unsure if she will get abused or not. It takes her about 3-4 days to adjust to a new environment. She loves to play with toys and having treats. Once she opens up and trusts someone, she loves to be petted!

SOCIALIZATION QUICK FACTS

Comments:  Lunie can be fine with calm and quiet children but she is scared of sudden movements and loud noises so young energetic children will not be a good fit.

DAILY ROUTINE QUICK FACTS

Comments:  She will pull on the leash if she is frightened by loud noise or sudden movements.
